“Pressure Release Valves” or “Recirculating Pumps” do not have a “Backflow Prevention” (check valve) included so these
do not satisfy VIHA’s request.
Please install a CAN-CSA standard approved “Check Valve” between the street water service and your first connection used on the property.
The point is to mitigate all risk of contamination from your property, back-flowing into the main water system.
