Water disruptions

We are currently facing low water levels and will need to shut off water to some parts of town on a rotating basis in order to determine where the problem lies and also to refill the storage tank to enable overnight water supplies.

  1. A leak so large that pumps can’t keep up should be possible to detect in short order through shutting off or isolating parts of town. Could this isolation strategy be performed during the overnight/early morning hours so as not to disrupt school functions/business operations? Curious why this isolation is done during the day.

    • We had the harbour turned off and isolated last night and have identified it is the source of an additional significant leak.
